Jiaqiang Yang is a Full Professor at Zhejiang University. He is the deputy director of institute of electrical machinery and its control, College of Electrical Engineering, as well as the the director of the engineering innovation and training center of polytechnic institute, Zhejiang University, China.
In recent years, he has been engaged in the research and teaching of several fields, including the machine and its drive system of the electric vehicle, high performance control of ac servo driving system, energy saving control for speed regulation by variable frequency, flywheel energy storage system, multiphase ac machine and its drive system, active power filter(APF), driving control of robots, intelligent sensor. He has completed numerous research projects from enterprises and hosted a number of national and provincial projects, such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Aeronautical Science Foundation of China, Projects of Science and Technology Plan of Zhejiang Province, Projects of Zhejiang Education Department. Fruitful achievements have been scored. He has a high level of expertise and rich experience of project development in the aspects of variable frequency drive technology and comprehensive utilization of new energy.
He obtained the third prize of Zhejiang Province Technological Invention Award in 2017. He has authored 1 book and holds over 10 issued invention patents. He has also published more than 70 technical papers in major academic journals at home and abroad, of which over 30 papers are included by SCI and EI.
