He has pioneered in using deep learning to tackle some challenging problems such as weakly-supervised sound event detection and singing voice generation. He has a keen interest in applying deep learning to help better understand non-human communications, and has general interests in SETI and philosophy of mind as well. He is also a self-proclaimed expert in playing claw machines.
