Jeffrey Shragge received the Ph.D. degree in geophysics from Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA, in 2009. He was an Associate Professor and the Woodside Professor of computational geosciences with The University of Western Australia, Crawley, WA, Australia. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Geophysics, Colorado School of Mines (CSM), Golden, CO, USA, and a Co-PI of the Center for Wave Phenomena (CWP), CSM, industrial research consortium. He leads a research group focusing on computational applications of full wavefield modeling, imaging, and inversion of Earth materials for problems related to hydrocarbon exploration and production, and near-surface geophysics. Dr. Shragge was recognized with the J. Clarence Karcher Award in 2010 by the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) for early-career research. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Geophysics.
