    Jeff Vitter is provost and executive vice chancellor at the University of Kansas. He is also a professor at KU in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and the Information and Telecommunication Technology Center. KU comprises roughly 2,450 faculty members, 5,500 staff, 30,000 students, and an annual budget of $1 billion, and it serves the main campus in Lawrence (with 10 colleges and schools), the Medical Centers in Kansas City, Kansas and Wichita, Kansas, and the Edwards campus in Overland Park, Kansas. As provost, Dr. Vitter is the chief academic officer for the Lawrence and Edwards campuses.
