Jean-Pierre Descy

After a career of researcher at University of Liege, Belgium (1971-1986), I moved to University of Namur where I became professor and retired from in 2014. Then I went back to University of Liege as collaborator of Alberto Borges at COU. My research interest remains mostly in ecosystem function and ecology of freshwater phytoplankton, both in Europe and abroad, with a special interest for African Great Lakes. I am still involved in management of river quality, mostly at a local level.
