Jason S. Lewis

Sören Lewis received the B.S. in general engineering science, and the M.Sc. in biomedical engineering from the Hamburg University of Technology, Hamburg, Germany, in 2006 and 2009, respectively. During the Master Thesis he worked on improving impedance characteristics of neural electrodes at Neurodan, Aalborg, Denmark. He was a Research Assistant at the department of Sport and Exercise Science, the University of Auckland, New Zealand, where he performed kinetic analysis of dynamic full body motion in sports. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. at the Vienna University of Technology, Austria, while working at Otto Bock Healthcare Products, Vienna, Austria. His current research interests include implantable electrodes, their interaction with the body and control of prostheses by intracorporal biosignals. He is also a Visiting Researcher at the German Primate Center, Göttingen, Germany. Mr. Lewis was a recipient of the Graduate Student Best Paper Award at the I2MTC 2012, Graz, Austria.
