个人简介
While devoted to a clear vision of imbuing “robot autonomy” to machines, I am investigating robot autonomy for common environments which can overcome the limitation of dealing with uncertainties and spontaneities of our world. I am interested in instituting a solid theoretical foundation for the relevant subjects, as well as methods of applying them to a real robotic system, all the while maintaining performance and real-time capability.
Moreover, I pay attention to what “mobility” of machines can do for humanity. Starting from simple augmentation of people’s mobility with self-driving technology, the utility of machines’ (autonomous) mobility will grow exponential and it will impact human society in every aspect—physically, socially, and environmentally. Therefore, I wish to investigate how robots’ autonomy and mobility can be utilized for new kinds of assistance for people.
