Bio
Janet L. Jensen has been a member of the Standoff Detection Team at Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC), U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, since 1991. She led a diverse range of projects and programs from novel scientific visualization/computing applications to real-world sensor development and transition. Her highlighted projects/programs are “Shaker/Mover” vibrational mode visualization from Gaussian data files, 1991, Computational Prototyping Network and CB1 Stimulator (1992–1995), virtual prototyping sensor systems by connecting basic physics to rapid prototyping, included real device in loop testing, and the Joint Service Agent Water Monitor Program (1997–2006), an overall ${\$}50$M program to develop early warning monitoring against contamination of military drinking waters, it was successfully transitioned to acquisition. She was a member of the first ECBC/Army Research Office Team to explore the use of THz spectroscopy for biological agent detection in the early 1990s.
