Jan Erik Hakegard

Jan Erik Håkegård (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Sivilingeniør (M.Sc.) degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, The Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH), Trondheim, Norway, in 1990, and the Docteur (Ph.D.) degree in electronics and communications from ENST, France, in 1997. He has been with SINTEF, since 1997, and a Senior Researcher, since 2009, leading and participating in research and development projects related to various types of wireless communication systems. He is currently among others leading projects within satellite communication funded by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the IoT networks funded by the Norwegian Research Council. During the last few years, he has also served as an evaluator in the Horizon Europe Program and regularly serves as a sensor with the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTNU).
