I am an evolutionary biologist with wide ranging interests in molecular ecology, population genetics and evolution. My reseach focuses on questions in the field of population/conservation genetics, with particular emphasis on applying knowledge of population genetic process to the management and conservation of Atlantic salmon and trout, and a variety of marine organisms. I teach/lead on modules in fish population genetics, marine connectivity and reef ecology. I also teach the entomological component of a forensic science module.
