The aim of my research is to design, implement and evaluate integrated, sustainable, climate-resilient water, sanitation and hygiene systems that can serve the world's most vulnerable rural and urban communities. The regions in which I work include sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia and the Pacific, as well as remote Indigenous communities here in Australia. I have a background is in microbiology and environmental engineering. All of the research I engage in has a focus on human health and environmental protection. I take a planetary health approach to the design and implementation of my research.
