His works range from modeling the behavior of humans when interacting with technology to modeling behavioral dynamics in small groups; from understanding the relationship between personality and social network structure as derived from Call Detail Records, to the analysis of virality dynamics in online social networking sites.

He has received the Honorable Mention at ACM DIS 2012, the Best Paper Award at ACM UbiComp 2014, the UMUAI James Chen Award 2016 and participated to the winning submission at SemEval 2017, task 5.2.

His latest works focus on Natural Language Generation.
