Jacob E. Bleacher

Dr. Jacob Bleacher is a planetary geologist who is currently the Chief Exploration Scientist in the the Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate (HEOMD) at NASA headquarters. In this role he is the science advocate for NASA technology and architecture development that is intended to enable human exploration of the Moon and Mars. He also serves as a primary coniaci with NASA’s Science Mission Directorate (SMD) and the science community external to NASA. Dr. Bleacher earned a bachelor of science in Geosciences from Franklin and Marshall College and PhD in Geological Sciences from the Arizona State University.
