Jean-Yves Hogrel

Jean-Yves Hogrel received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the University of Technology of Compiègne, Compiègne, France, in 1990. He received the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering from the same university in 1994. In 1995, he joined the Neuromuscular Functional Exploration Center at the Institute of Myology, Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, Paris, France, where he is currently the head of the Neuromuscular Physiology Laboratory. His research interests mainly focus on the clinical use of surface electromyography (detection, signal processing and data analysis) and, more generally, in the quantified evaluation of patients suffering from neuromuscular disorders (diagnostic, therapeutic trials and assessment in clinical routine of the neuromuscular function).
