Jürgen V. Vogt

Jürgen Vogt works at the Joint Research Centre (JRC), European Commission in Ispra (VA), Italy. His fields of research include geography, hydro-meteorological modeling, terrain analysis and disaster risk management. His current research interest and work focusses on monitoring, forecasting and assessing droughts and their impacts, including the analysis of exposure, vulnerability and risk in different economic sectors and the environment. He leads the development of the European and Global Drought Observatories (EDO and GDO) with the goal to provide scientifically sound information to decision makers in hydrological management as well as to policy makers at the European and global levels.
