个人简介
Dr. Li has been engaged in research on meteorological satellite-based remote sensing theory, observation system requirements and planning, quantitative remote sensing inverse methodologies, and satellite observation data assimilation for numerical weather prediction (NWP). The scientific algorithms developed have been widely used for real-time processing of meteorological satellite data, operational product generation and applications by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT), and China Meteorological Administration (CMA), they have also been used by NASA and EUMETSAT climate SAF (Satellite Application Facility) for the development of atmospheric water vapor climate data record (CDR, e.g., MODIS MOD07/MYD07) which is an important climate variable for understanding and predicting climate change. Dr. Li has received several international and national awards during his career for his scientific contributions and achievements. He has authored and co-authored more than 260 science papers, including more than 200 peer-reviewed journal papers.
