个人简介
João Catalão (M'08) received the Master's and Ph.D. degrees in geographic engineering from the University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal, in 1986 and 1999, respectively.
He is currently an Associate Professor with the Instituto Dom Luiz, Department of Geographic Engineering, Geophysics and Energy, Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon. He has developed his scientific activity in the field of geodesy and remote sensing. His research is focused on measuring and monitoring the deformation of the Earth's surface using multiple sensors (distance meters, gravimeters, the global navigation satellite system (GNSS), and interferometric SAR). At present, his primary interests include the meteorological applications of SAR and the GNSS, including measuring and modeling precipitable water vapor estimated using the aforementioned different satellite-based instruments.
