Photon management technologies, such as upconversion and advanced light trapping, as well as multijunction solar cells based on the combination of silicon with novel materials such as perovskites and nanowires allow for overcoming the efficiency limits of conventional photovoltaics. Developing new concepts and showing the potential of such technologies is the core of my work. All to continue the path of cost reduction by innovation to help a more and more widespread application of photovoltaics.
