I work on data assimilation algorithms: variational methods, nudging techniques, sequential methods. With Didier Auroux, I introduced the back and forth nudging algorithm which is a simple and efficient data assimilation technique that enables to identify the initial condition from discrete data. I also introduced variational methods for the identification and control of plasma equilibrium in tokamaks with applications for JET, WEST and ITER.
