Joana Afonso

Hello! I am Joana Afonso (1989), a portuguese illustrator with a PhD in Drawing at FBAUL, where I have been teaching for 10 years. I work as a professional illustrator since 2010 (more or less). Yes, I've been drawing since I was little, but it's been since I drew the comic "The Waltz", which won the National Award for Best Comic, that I've been developing my work in comics, but also in illustration and visual development. Since then, I have published several comic books, received nominations and awards, integrated national and international exhibitions and collaborated with publishers, papers, magazines and producers.
