Isabel F. Trigo

Isabel F. Trigo received the B.S. and M.Sc. degrees in geophysical sciences from the University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal, in 1993 and 1997, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, U.K., in 2000. She was with the European Center for Medium-range Weather Forecasts as a Visiting Scientist for a short period. In 2001, she joined the Portuguese Meteorology Institute [now Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA)], Lisbon, where she is involved in remote sensing applications to derive land surface variables and their use to better understand and model land surface processes. She currently leads the Earth Observation Unit, IPMA, which hosts the EUMETSAT Satellite Applications Facility on Land Surface Analysis.
