Research Overview
The Il-Doo Kim group is focused broadly on novel synthesis of inorganic nanomaterials optimized for applications in ultra-sensitive chemical sensors, highly efficient energy storage devices, and functional nanoelectronics including nanofiber-based transistors and transparent electrodes.
Our researches aim at developing novel fabrication methods that relies on a modified electrospinning and polymeric templating routes combined with physical vapor deposition to produce nano-building blocks such as highly porous nanofibers, nanofibers, nanotubes, hemi-spheres, and hollow spheres.
We also develop new nanowire materials for next-generation naon-catalysts and design new platforms of complex compound nanoparticles and oxide nanoinks for printed electronics.
