My current research interests are in virus-receptor interactions and in the development of novel candidate vaccines. I am co-inventor of recombinant factor IX, manufactured by Wyeth as Benefix and marketed by Pfizer for the treatment of haemophilia B. I serve on several journal editorial boards and grant committees and play an active role in the public understanding of science.
