My research focus is in the area of advanced solid state energy conversion devices and systems. More specifically, I work on several exciting aspects of solid state energy conversion (e.g. efficient conversion of heat and light into electricity) that are enabling new and efficient ways to generate, convert and utilize electric energy.
I am particularly interested in theoretical and experimental exploration of basic physical phenomena governing energy conversion processes on micro and nano scales. My theoretical explorations are motivated by the real need for new and efficient ways to generate and convert electric energy. I am constantly striving to employ and test the theoretical and laboratory concepts to design new and efficient energy processing devices and systems spanning milliwatt to tens of kilowatts power range. And there is nothing more rewarding then following through your concepts from a rough idea all the way to a working prototype
