Hunggul Yudono Setio Hadi Nugroho

Hunggul Yudono Setio Hadi Nugroho was born in Yogjakarta, Indonesia on November 7, 1967. After completing high school in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, he continued his studies at the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) in 1985. He graduated from IPB in March 1991 receiving a Bachelor of Forestry degree. In 1998 he received a grant from the Indonesian government to study in watershed management, at the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Bogor, Indonesia and obtained a Master of Science degree in 2000. In 2010 he received a scholarship from Tropenbos International, to carry out Doctoral Program at the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation, University of Twente, The Netherlands and obtained his doctorate in 2019. Since 1993 until February 2022, he has worked as a researcher at the Agency for Research and Development and Innovation, Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Starting March 1, 2022, he is working as a senior researcher at the National Research and Innovation Agency, Republic of Indonesia with research interests in watershed management, ecological landscapes, renewable energy and ecosystem services. During his time as a researcher, he received five awards, of which the first two awards were given by the Minister of Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia as one of the one of the best innovators in 2010 and 2012, the third was the Minister Award from the Ministry of Forestry, awarded in 2012 as an outstanding performance researcher, the fourth from the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform as the Top 5 Inspirational Civil Servants of 2018 in National Level. In 2019, he received his fifth award in the lifetime achievement category at the innovation award from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
