Dr. Lin is Tenured Professor in Biostatistics at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC). Dr. Lin’s primary research interest is in developing novel statistical methods used for genetic studies, especially single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) data analyses. She proposed several novel statistical methods for analyzing SNP-SNP interactions associated with complex diseases. Among Dr. Lin’s 145 peer-review publications, many of them are related to prostate cancer and genetic association studies. She has 10-year working experience at two NCI designated comprehensive cancer centers: Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, and Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She served as a PI for an NIH R21 grant for evaluating SNP-SNP interactions associated with PCa aggressiveness. Dr. Lin has participated several genetic association studies and genome-wide association (GWA) studies and has actively participated in projects in the Prostate Cancer PRACTICAL Consortium., Genetic statistics and Big data analyses.
