My research interests are primarily in the area of Data Mining and Text Analytics. Presently, I am focusing on the following projects:
Biomedical text mining to learn the relationships between foods, diseases and genes, aiming to build interactive food-centric networks to promote better human health.
Analyzing clinical notes to extract a patient's family history.
Building an interactive system to analyze a variety of Microarray data in different areas of biology. Click here to read about and download XMAS, a software system designed to analyze and explore time series Microarray data.
