个人简介
Dr Zhuis a molecular biologist and virologist with particular interests in emerging infectious diseases caused by RNA viruses. Her research in recent years has provided understanding of the genesis, development and risk assessment of the swine-origin pandemic H1N1/2009, the avian-originH7N9, H10N8and other related emerging influenza viruses.
Her research is currently supported by funding from the NIH of the USA, the Welcome Trust, National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Shenzhen “Peacock Plan” high-end talents program and the Hong Kong government sources. She was awarded Promising Investigator Prize by the International Society for Influenza and other Respiratory Virus Diseases (ISIRV, 2013) and received Outstanding Research Output Awards (HKU) in 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
