My research interests broadly cover issues concerning formation and evolution of galaxies across cosmic time. In particular, I am interested in the properties of diffuse gas in and around galaxies and quasars. The expertise in my group lies in galaxy surveys, integral field spectroscopy of extended nebulae, and absorption-line spectroscopy of distant light sources (quasars/gamma-ray burst afterglows). Together, these approaches enable comprehensive studies of baryon cycles between star-forming regions and the intergalactic medium.
