Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Multimodal Understanding.
Instructional video representation learning
Multimodal scene boundary detection in long videos
Group activity recognition from videos
Video spatiotemporal reasoning and object tracking
Crowd trajectory prediction with computer vision techniques and virtual simulations
Learn low-dimensional vector representations for graphs with innovative applications (e.g., automatic floorplan design)
Foresee human interaction patterns in online environment (e.g., information/product adoption patterns)
Particularly, I'm passionate about the next-generation machine intelligence, especially machine learning and reasoning that enables a deeper understanding of the semantics of data (video, image, text, graph, human skeleton and other modalities). Currently, my research is focusing on multimodal video understanding and representation learning.
