He has 13 years of research experience in computer vision, which includes six years of professional experience at various industrial and academic research labs. Before joining IIAI, he was a Senior Technical Lead in the Computer Vision and Deep learning Research team at Mercedes-Benz R&D, India. He has also worked as a researcher at computer vision team of BEL-Central Research Lab, India and Advanced Digital Sciences Center, Singapore. Beside authoring multiple papers in top journals/conferences, he developed several computer vision frameworks that are successfully released as commercial products in automotive and defense industries. He worked on wide range of computer vision/deep learning problems such as object detection, instance segmentation, saliency detection, pedestrian detection, human pose estimation, object counting, crowd counting, image classification, fine-grained image classification, action classification, action localization, real-time/embedded computer vision and weakly supervised learning.
