I find myself properly located in an ambitious environment that requires an interdisciplinary knowledge within the fields of physiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacology. I thrive in the crossfield of clinical and basic research that involve collaborations with clinicians as well as researchers in diverse fields.
My research during the last twelve years has evolved around the dopamine system of the brain, in particular the biosynthesis and cellular regulation of the dopamine transporter and disease associated variants.
