Henning Meyerhenke received the diplom degree in computer science from Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, Germany, in 2004 and the PhD (with highest distinction) degree in computer science from the University of Paderborn, Germany, in 2008. He is an assistant professor (juniorprofessor ) in the Institute of Theoretical Informatics, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, since October 2011. Previously, he was postdoc in the Georgia Institute of Technology. After his graduation, he was also research scientist with NEC Laboratories Europe and postdoc with the University of Paderborn. His main research interests include parallel algorithm engineering for massive data sets in three main application areas: Combinatorial scientific computing, network analysis, and parallel combinatorial optimization. His work received the Best Algorithms Paper Award of the 22nd IEEE International Parallel and Distributed Processing Symposium and the Best Paper Award of the 2015 International Symposium on Foundations and Applications of Big Data Analytics.
