Main Research Interest:
1. Nano, micro, meso to macro-scale study on the mechanical behavior of structural materials such as magnesium alloys, aluminum alloys, steels, zircaloy, copper, nano-composites etc.
2. Materials Genome Initiative Engineering: Optimize the performance of materials and mechanical processing technologies through artificial intelligence (in terms of building up database, data mining, machine learning and deep learning)
3. Additive Manufacturing of Metallic Materials (3D printing): Systematical study of the 3D printing technology (in terms of geometric model design, laser path design, powder layer design, performance evaluation, etc.) to improve the performance of products.
4. Neutron diffraction to measure the internal stress (residual stress).
