Hann-Huei Tsai

Hann-Huei Tsai (Member, IEEE) was born in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1970. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, in 1992 and 1994, respectively. In 1996, he joined Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacture Company (TSMC), Hsinchu, Taiwan, as a Process Integration Engineer and became a Section Manager in 2002. In September 2006, he joined the National Chip Implementation Center (CIC), National Applied Research Laboratories (NARLabs), Taipei, Taiwan, where he was an Associate Researcher and he became a Research Fellow in 2009. Since January 2019, he has been with the Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute (TSRI), NARLabs, where he was the Director of the Heterogeneous Chip Integration Division. He has authored or coauthored over 50 journals and conference papers and owns 38 patents. His current research interests include MEMS, bio-MEMS, silicon photonics, GaN power IC, heterogeneous integration, mixed signal, and power management circuits. Mr. Tsai was a member of the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society of Taiwan, in 1994. He received the First Prize in the Graduate Student Thesis Contest for the year from the Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering.
