Dr. Gustavo Stolovitzky is the Chief Science Officer at Sema4, a precision medicine company that uses leading edge science and technology to provide insights to patients based on omics and clinical data. He is also an adjunct Professor at Columbia University and the Founder of the DREAM Challenges. Previously Gustavo was the Founding Chair of the Exploratory Life Sciences Program at IBM Research, where he was an IBM Fellow. Gustavo has pioneered the use of crowdsourcing as a tool for scientific research in systems biology and of the Wisdom of Crowds as a robust methodology for predictive modeling. His current main interests are in the fields of crowdsourcing, ensemble learning, translational research and liquid biopsies.
