担任Stroke、Aging and Disease、《中国脑血管病杂志》、《中国现代神经疾病杂志》等杂志编委。在国际重要学术期刊上发表论文150多篇,影响因子(Impact Factor)共达600余分, 被引用总次数达3000余次,参与了7本书的编写工作;回国后获上海浦江人才计划,973计划、国家自然科学基金,上海市科委等项目的资助。组建了以海外归国人员为主的神经科学与工程团队。
其主要成果包括 :1)小鼠大脑中动脉缺血和再灌注损伤模型;2)率先应用转基因技术对缺血性脑损伤进行基因治疗;3)建立了小鼠局灶性脑内血管新生和脑血管畸形动物模型;4)利用上海同步光源等影像技术对小鼠脑部血管的形态、分布进行了开拓性的研究。
