个人简介
DNA, one of the most important cellular components in the living organisms, is very prone to glycation which is a natural, non-enzymatic reaction between reducing sugar and amino group. This glycation has several dramatic consequences in age-related complications, diabetes, atherosclerosis, including cancers and neurodegenerative diseases.
The Raman spectroscopy has already shown its ability towards the sensitive identification of conformational details of such kind of biomolecules. Here in this research, we are interested to study DNA-glycation using Raman spectroscopy.
