个人简介
I have 27 years of experience in R&D project management related to data assimilation in ocean and weather forecasting and petroleum technology. I have managed several international research projects and a broad multidisciplinary research project portfolio in Statoil, with documented results. I have initiated and led several projects from an initial idea to operational implementation in various disciplines:
• I invented the data-assimilation methods (Ensemble Kalman Filter/Smoother), which are now used for assimilation of observations in weather forecasting systems at the primary international meteorological services, and for ocean forecasting at the Norwegian Meteorological office.
• I developed ensemble methods for history matching of reservoir models that have recently been commercialized by Roxar and are now the most used method for history matching of petroleum models.
• I developed and implemented Fast-Model-Update, which is now in operational use as a multidisciplinary integrated modeling workflow in Statoil.
