个人简介
Dr. Yang’s research interests are at the interfaces between computation, engineering, and cell biology. A main focus of his current research is on using image-based computational analysis and modeling techniques to study spatial-temporal dynamics of basic cellular processes such as signal transduction and intracellular trafficking. Specifically, his research group combines fluorescence imaging, molecular genetics perturbation, and computational analysis and modeling to understand how intracellular cargo transport in neuronal cells is regulated spatially and temporally. Integration of computational analysis and modeling with experimental investigation is strongly emphasized in his research group. In addition to basic biological research, another main focus of his work is on technology development, especially on computational techniques and tools for analyzing and understanding biological images.
