Gary B Kaplan

Dr. Kaplan is Director of the Laboratory of Translational Psychiatry, Co-Director of the Translational Psychiatry Research Fellowship, and a Psychiatrist in the Primary Care Behavioral Health Program of the VA Boston Healthcare System. He is Professor of Psychiatry and Pharmacology & Experimental Therapeutics at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Kaplan’s research focuses on neuroplasticity in posttraumatic stress (PTSD), brain injury and drug addiction. Such translational research defines the neural mechanisms and structural plasticity related to PTSD, brain injury and addiction and defines novel therapeutic targets of interest.
