In the cloud forest, we studing the ecology of epiphytic bromeliads. 1) We monitored the ability to catch and retain water in epiphytic bromeliads rosettes. 2) We are studying the contribution of macroinvertebrates present in the tank bromeliads on the release of nutrients, and their effect on plant growth. 3) We evaluate the potential of hybridization most abundant epiphytic bromeliads after disturbances. We study how environmental factors affect ecological productivity in vanilla plantations.
