He has been chairman of Nordic Forum for Computer Aided Higher Education and has been and is involved in several EU projects and other cooperation projects especially with Romania and Moldova. He has participated actively in EU Elearning projects on Distance Learning Accreditation. He has been coordinator and grant holder of several of these projects. In the 90's he arranged economic support from the Open Society Institute to finance academic Internet connections for Moldova and some universities in Romania. He has been in charge of organizing several international conferences on Computer Aided Learning, Elearning and Distance Learning. He is member of the editorial board of European Journal of Engineering Education. He has published around 20 journal papers in Quantum Chemistry and Engineering Education. He has presented several conference papers on Engineering Education, Elearning and Distance Learning also arranged several conference workshops in these areas. He has and is actively arranging and tutoring online net based courses in teacher training, physics, and mechanics.
