Guangming Cheng

My research interests focus on exploring the mechanical, physical and chemical responses and microstructure evolution of low dimensional nanomaterials (nanowires, 2D materials, thin films, etc.) at environmental conditions (stress, temperature, irradiation and gas) via in situ electron microscopy, particularly, on the thermal mechanical behaviors and electromechanical coupling. My work also covers the understanding of underlying physics of structural and functional materials.
