Frédéric Poitevin

Frédéric Poitevin received the BS and MS degrees in chemistry from the Université Paris 6, Paris, France, in 2006/2009, the diploma in chemistry from Ecole Normal Supérieure, Paris, in 2010, and the PhD degree in bioinformatics, genome analysis and modeling from the Université Paris Diderot, Paris, France, in 2013, for his work carried with the Pasteur Institute, Paris, in the “Structural Dynamics of Macromolecules” group led by Marc Delarue, his PhD advisor. From 2013 to 2015, he was a postdoctoral scholar with Pasteur and the Institute for Theoretical Physics, IPhT-CEA, Saclay, France, with Marc Delarue and Henri Orland. From 2015 to 2020, he was a postdoctoral scholar with Stanford University in the Computational Structural Biology Group led by Michael Levitt. He is currently a staff associate scientist with SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, in the LCLS Department, where he streamlines data processing workflows while developing computational methods in Structural Biology, mainly aimed at extracting molecular dynamics information from various types of experimental data (X-ray Crystallography, Cryogenic Electron Microscopy, etc.).
