Wolfram Frank

Frank Wolfram received the M.Sc. degree in medical physics from Technical University Ilmenau, Ilmenau, Germany, and Linköping University Hospital, Linköping, Sweden, in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in medical pulmonary interventions from the Medical Faculty, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Jena, Germany, in 2015, specializing in noninvasive lung cancer ablation using therapeutic ultrasound. He is currently with the Clinic of Vascular and Thoracic Surgery, SRH Wald-Klinikum Gera, Gera, Germany. The area of research is concerned with therapeutic ultrasound (HIFU) for pulmonary noninvasive ablation using lung filling, acoustic tissue characterization, and diagnostic lung ultrasound. Dr. Wolfram is a member of the German Society of Ultrasound in Medicine, where he is the Chair of the Science and Technique Section. He is also an Editorial Board Member of the European Journal of Ultrasound (UiM).
