Frank Löffler

Frank Löffler is an IT consultant at the Center for Computation and Technology at Louisiana State University. His research interests include efficient computational infrastructure for parallel computing, numerical methods, and their application to science problems such as relativistic astrophysics or quantum Monte Carlo calculations in theoretical chemistry. Löffler has a PhD in natural science from the Albert-Einstein-Institute (MPI). He's a founder of the Einstein Toolkit, a set of open source software modules for solving the Einstein equations to simulate black holes and other astrophysical objects.
