Françoise Nerry

FranÇOise Nerry received the B.E. degree in physics from the Télécom Physique Strabourg, University of Strasbourg, Illkirch Cedex, France, in 1984, and the Ph.D. degree in the physics of the terrestrial environment in the thermal infrared range from the University of Strasbourg, in 1988. She then obtained a two-year National Research Council Fellowship at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA, USA, and joined CNRS as a Researcher in 1990. She has already trained more than 20 Ph.D. students. For several years she has been involved in urban projects for UHI characterization. She has organized or participated in more than 15 field campaigns. She has published more than 100 scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals. Her research interests are focused on thermal infrared radiometry applied to natural surfaces, analysis of hyperspectral data from ground interferometers or from IASI data, analysis methods of remotely sensed thermal infrared data.
