Bio
Frédérik Doyon is a Professor in forest ecology in the Department of Natural Sciences at the Université du Québec en Outaouais and researcher at the Institute of Temperate Forest Sciences. Landscape ecology and conservation biology provide the theoretical framework of his research, addressing scientific questions using field experiments and simulation models. Many of his scientific achievements have been in applying process and empirical modeling for developing decision-making tool aiming at designing promising sustainable forest management strategies, either at the stand or at the landscape level. His recent work focuses on the impacts of climate change on southern forests of Quebec and the vulnerability and adaptation of communities who depend on them.
