Bio
From 2013 until 2018, Florian was an assistant professor in human-computer interaction at the LMU Munich, where he headed the Ubiquitous Interactive Systems Group. At ths same time he was a ZD.B research group leader at the University of Applied Sciences (HAW) Munich in the context of the Biometrics++ project. He has a diploma in media informatics from LMU Munich and completed his master thesis at the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems (IAIS) and at the University of Bonn (b-it). Florian also worked in the US as web developer for Pinnacle Systems Inc. (Mountain View, 2005) and as IT specialist for Schreiner MediPharm LP (New York, 2007-2008).
Florian is an active member of the scientific HCI community. He is the general co-chair of the International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia (MUM 2018) and program chair of the German HCI Conference (Mensch & Computer). He is on the editorial board of ACM IMWUT and IEEE Pervasive Computing and regularly serves as Associate Chair for the ACM SIGCHI conference.
